Is there a roadmap?

I'm curious as to whether you're committing to this project and have plans for it or if it was just a bit of an experiment. Seems like it's a good start but there's definitely plenty of room for improvement, for example workspaces could be tied to github repos.

Hey, thanks for bringing this up. It's actually a topic I've been thinking about for a while and this lets me address this appropriately, I hope.

Cloud9Hub started as a potential solution to get Cloud9 into organisations that have strict policies, disallowing to use services outside of the organisation.
While the open source edition of Cloud9 is good and pretty solid, the lack of the overarching workspace integration was pretty annoying, so I started Cloud9Hub.

Unfortunately tho, I do not have the comfort of much free time or available time at work to maintain this the way I would like to maintain it.

I try my best to respond to issues and encourage and support people to contribute - because I still believe this project has a purpose and a need and I'd love to see it become more active in development and community feedback... but I can't stem this one alone.

Hence: Would you (this goes out to everybody reading this) be interested to become maintainers and pull this off together?

Now back to the core question of the issue: there's no roadmap at the time of this writing but I'd be more than happy to put one together by collecting and prioritising support.

So a roadmap would only make sense in my eyes, if there's community interest in a bunch of features that can be aligned along a roadmap.

So please go ahead and create feature request tickets, so we can lay the foundation for the way ahead!

So I only started looking into self hosted web IDEs in the past few days, Cloud 9 looked good at first but I noticed there hasn't been a commit to their GitHub repo in a year so I'm a bit worried they just decided to go closed source. I also looked at Codebox (https://github.com/CodeboxIDE/codebox) which is committed to open source and is starting to look nice but it's maintained by a two people startup and they haven't committed anything in a couple of months.

Do you have any insights on the future of Cloud 9 that makes you confident it will get any kind of updates in the future?

That they might decide to close it up is a big concern for me too.
However, having looked at a few others (haven't tried Codebox yet, tho) I'm pretty confident in being able to maintain and evolve Cloud9 myself if needed...

So I took that into consideration but it would still suck.

Saw that! Pretty exciting, I'd love to experiment with setting up vagrant with both my code and the editor and see how that works out.
