when will next release of dms happen?

i am planning to install cachyos with dms shell and hyprland using the dankinstall script on my main laptop

i heard that the current stable release breaks the workspace switcher with lua files of hyprland

also I did test it on a test machine and it did break it

i want to setup my main machine with cachyos hyprland and dms and set everything up and want it to not break my changes... and when i install hyprland and dms using that dank install command it uses the conf file instead of lua

soo I am worried that if i set things up it will break later when the next release comes for dms or when i update system or migrate to lua files using hyprmod app that I use to configure hyprland

(and yes i tried using the latest git commit version on the test machine and i don't want to be in beta for my main laptop , i want the stable version on main laptop)

(in the latest git version i installed on test machine it worked perfectly... but when i migrated to lua hyprland was showing some error for key binds lua file )

so what should I do ? i am a noob at all this and I don't even know how to update the current dms shell that I have installed on my test machine (i have stable version installed on it rn , i reverted back to my previous snapshot of the system after trying latest git version)
when i search google about how to update the dms shell it says run dms update command which is actually not even a command..

when will the next version of dms come out that supports lua files of hyprland ... and if it takes time to come ... should I set things up with current version and not worry about it breaking when it migrate to lua in newer version?

again I am a noob I was using omarchy linux till now on my main and yes i tried searching about all this but couldn't find stuff (installing cachyos was also a big big challenge as I kept getting errors (couldn't run pacstrap) then i realised that it's only giving errors if I made the bootable drive using Rufus or ventoy...) yeah i spent a whole week trying to look into what to install and stuff.. i have also tried niri but I like hyprland more and dms shell ..

please tell me what to do , when might the next release of dms shell come ?, should i configure my system with current stable release? and will it break my configs when it migrate to lua in next release? and yeah how do I update my current installation of dms shell which i installed using the curl command for dankinstall?

Hi there, while it's hard to provide an ETA on a FOSS project, we're aiming for Tuesday over a week from now. You can install stable with no issues and upgrade to the next stable release with no issues. Things aren't supposed to break in between very often. Though as you noted, hyprland changed, currently on stable lua is not yet updated, but it is in the dms dev branch. That's optional and up to you on which route to go. Note, we do not plan to auto convert personal configs, only those shipped by default from DMS.

so if I make changes in dms settings will it be converted?

i can migrate to lua using hyprmod..
i was just worried of things i change in dms shell will it be not broken?

can u also tell me how to actually update to new version when the new release is out ? should I run the curl script again or what is the process?
