Distinguish between editor and Collaborative Editor

So, Currently the software has been built only to work in Collaborative mode, Even though one can use editor for creating files but it would keep prompting RethinkDB error in the backend. So the challenge is to provide a method so that user can have control to either use editor only or use it in collaboration.
