These are Python modules implemented for testing hypotheses on variation of folk song melodies. The functions expect files as returned by the MelodicOccurrence modules: 1) Meertens Tune Collection files converted to melody dictionaries with information on tune family membership and which list for every note its pitch, onset, etc. 2) Results of detecting occurrences of phrases within tune families.
convert_to_mcsv was used to convert the melody dictionaries from MelodicOcccurrences to mcsv files for analysis with FANTASTIC.
