Is it possible to let Minecarts automatically load the complete railway there are on?

No? I say automatically. I want it automtically loaded by the minecart i have a plugin that makes it possible to build and connect buildings that sends minecarts between them and i have no time to execute that command every time a user connects 2 buildings

Would it instead be possible to keep a "moving" area of chunks loaded around the minecart so that the whole line doesn't need to be loaded all at once, allowing any line to be effectively "loaded" without requiring any setup.

I do the minecart side of things for KeepChunks, and I wanted to get in touch about this suggestion. While the feature has been suggested before, and can even be seen as an item in modded Minecraft, we are hesitant to add this because of the extra load it can cause.

The server would need to be constantly checking for MinecartMoveEvents, which is a lot as is. Additionally, there are zero ways to stop users from crashing the server by spamming chest minecarts. In a controlled environment, this would be no problem, but developers can't assume that users will do the right thing.

In the near future, we will develop an internal test version to see how this idea holds up :)
