Can't get entity to validate

I've enabled the module along with the Entity Validator Example module.

When I update an article node (either programatically or through the UI) with a title that's less than 3 characters I don't get any validation errors. My understanding is that these should be automatically triggered by Entity Validator Example module.

Is there something I'm missing?
