MAAP v5.1.0 release to the 2i2c Hub

A minor platform release v5.1.0 is now available on https://hub.maap-project.org/. To use the new features, start a new v5.1.0 workspace. You can request access to our new platform the Hub by registering for an account here https://hub.maap-project.org/. More documentation about the Hub here. Note that we are still supporting the ADE Eclipse Che platform at this time.

Updates in this release:
R image:

• Updated to R 4.5.1 from 4.4.3
• Using awsv2 aliased as aws for the command line
• Updated and tested packages
• RStudio fixes: AWS access and DPS job submissions with maap-py
• Base image is ghcr.io/nmfs-opensci/container-images/py-rocket-geospatial-2:2026.01.25 and code base is here
• R Cran packages added here

Isce3 image:

• Updated packages including to the most recent version of isce3 (0.25.7). You can see updated package versions here. Gdal bump from 3.11.4 to 3.11.5
• Base image is pangeo/base-notebook:2026.01.30 and code base is here

Pangeo image:

• Updated to Pangeo 2025.12.30, builds are now based on NASA VEDA
• Base image is public.ecr.aws/nasa-veda/pangeo-notebook-veda-image:2025.12.30-v1 and code base is here

TensorFlow2 GPU image now has MAAP extensions, request access for this image

• Updated to Pangeo 2025.12.30

PyTorch GPU image now has MAAP extensions, request access for this image

• Updated to Pangeo 2025.12.30
