Bug Description
Dolby Atmos and multi-channel surround audio tracks (such as 5.1 and 7.1 channels) are currently outputting as 2-channel stereo. The application downmixes the audio instead of preserving the full spatial or multi-channel surround sound stage.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open a media file containing a Dolby Atmos or multi-channel (e.g., 5.1/7.1 AAC, AC3, or TrueHD) audio track in Cassette.
- Play the file.
- Check the audio output device configuration or receiver information
Expected Behavior
The player should pass through or properly decode multi-channel and Dolby Atmos audio tracks to support native spatial or surround sound output on compatible audio hardware.
Actual Behavior
The multi-channel audio is downmixed and outputs strictly as 2-channel stereo (PCM 2.0).
Environment
- Cassette Version: Latest
- Operating System: latest
- Audio Setup: AirPods MAX and AirPods Pro
