Motif programs crash when using window manager 'X'

...and fwiw, that is not a segfault. That's an X resource error. But it is crashing for you.

I am using the XQuartz available from Self Service on my Mac. I had to do the following to give it permission to create windows:

• System Preferences -> Privacy and Security -> Full Disk Access. I added both Xquartz and /bin/bash (there is a trick to finding /bin/bash, need to hold down Command-Shift-Period).
• Change shell to bash -> in terminal to /bin/bash (under General)
• “echo $DISPLAY” and confirm it can find a display
• May need to reboot

@sararunkel can you "echo $DISPLAY"?

I can also load a GPS track. I am running on Mercury. The problem is doing anything after loading the track. I actually think it is not related to adding a second plot, because I got the same error just trying to resize my window in a screen recording. My Display value is localhost:15.0.

you clicked a window manager X (close window). That's the one thing I can't fix that I was describing in the meeting. You can minimize down to the dock (the yellow dot or flat line), but no red dot (X)
