No IP assigned for mesh networks

It's looking like the device is getting confused on mesh networks. I've seen similar with other Adafruit boards as well, like the Matrix Portal M4. I'm unsure why, but dealing with multiple APs with the same throws them for a loop. Is there a workaround for this?

If you look at the config for your network, does the board show up as a device? Does assigning it a static IP provide any relief?
