Add .nvmrc file for consistent Node versioning

Hi there!

I noticed the repository currently doesn't specify a Node.js version using an .nvmrc file. Adding this file makes it easier for new contributors to set up their local development environment with the exact required Node version, reducing 'works on my machine' errors.

I would like to work on this issue under GSSoC'24! Could you please assign it to me?
