It would be great if this were implemented as a CC plugin. This would keep the installed hooks neatly separated from user's hooks in ~/.claude/hooks etc.

This is a great suggestion, I'll have a look on how CC plugins are made and see what will take to port the current architecture to a CC plugin. In case you have knowledge about CC plugins, any kind of help is welcome!
