Custom Fields & File IO

As a user I would like to be able to add as many different fields that correspond to a file as I want.
Possibilities could be:

Details

Field Type	Description of workings
Spinners and Text Fields	Simplest type – would be associated with a single file and update based on changes to the field.
Timers	Would associate with a specific timer, and have the usual timer controls, outputting value to specific file.
Dropdown	Would associate with and output file and the input file containing the possible dropdown values.
