Hello Contributors πŸ‘‹
Welcome to ExpenseFlow! We’re happy to see your interest in contributing. 😊
Please read the guidelines below carefully before starting.

πŸš€ How to Contribute (Step-by-Step)

  1. Fork this repository.
  2. ⭐ Star the repository.
  3. Create an issue for the feature/bug you want to work on.
  4. Wait for the Project Admin and Mentor to review and assign the issue.
  5. Once assigned, start working on it.
  6. After completion, raise a Pull Request (PR).

❗ Do not create a PR without the issue being reviewed and assigned first.
❗ Do not create a PR for an issue raised by another contributor unless it is assigned to you.

🚨 Issue Assignment Policy

  • Each contributor can be assigned only 2–3 issues at a time
  • New issues will be assigned only after current issues are completed
  • If you already have the maximum number of issues and others request new ones,
those issues will be assigned to new contributors first

πŸ’‘ Why This Rule?

Open source is about quality contributions, not collecting many issues.
This helps:

  • Give equal opportunities to all contributors
  • Avoid issue hoarding
  • Maintain a fair and collaborative environment

πŸ“Œ Important Notes

  • Read the README.md file carefully to understand the project
  • Read the CONTRIBUTING.md file before starting
  • Follow the CODE_OF_CONDUCT. md
  • Ask questions in the issue comments if anything is unclear
  • Be patient while the Project Admin and Mentor review issues

🎯 Goal

To keep the contribution process simple, fair, and beginner-friendly for everyone.

Thank you for your support and happy contributing! πŸš€βœ¨
