map legend

hi there, I am trying to find a way to put the legend on a processed map for exporting. I remember depth map used to have this in view. but can't find it anymore (mac version of depth map X 0.8). could you please let me know how I can do this, I am trying to publish a paper.

I don't remember ever having a legend in the app, nor can I find any references in the codebase.. Are you sure you're remembering correctly?

thank you so much for your response. Oh, I may be I have mistaken. I was trying to look at my PhD files from 2005, where I thought I have legend. may be it was from Axman. on a quick internet search I saw comment saying that legend can be turned on or off from view/ show legend in v0.8. but I was not able to spot them in the version I have on my laptop. so wanted to check if I got a wrong build.

So there is not way to get this on depth map?

Happy to help! I've not seen a legend personally on a map straight out of depthmap, but I've only been maintaining and (lightly) using this app since 2017 or so.. Perhaps there was a legend at an earlier version? Haven't used Axman, but you said that your files opened with v0.8 of depthmap? Maybe there is a way to toggle it that's not in the menu? As I mentioned earlier, there is no reference to a "legend" or "key" anywhere in the codebase, but I have been surprised by other users showing me things depthmap can do that I didn't know were possible.
