Infinite spinner when user tries to sign out due to 400 error #1501

Expected Behavior
When a user clicks the 'Log out' button, they are logged out, regardless of whether their google client is active or not.
Current Behavior
When a user clicks the 'Log out' button, their session is removed, but the spinner persists. The 400 error appears in the network request.
Steps to Reproduce

Possible Solution
We should either prevent this from happening or handle this scenario to allow the session to be removed without also requiring the google client to be signed out
