Bug Description

You cant shift click the "destroy item" button in 1.8 to clear the creative inventory

Steps to Reproduce

1. Shift click "destroy item" button from 1.8 client on new server with viaversion

Expected Behavior

To clear the inventory

confirmed on my server as well.

possibly related: when using worldedit for instance, when i break a block with the worldedit wand, it does not reappear and becomes a ghost block.

same thing happens with me.

Also, when I drop items, it becomes a ghost item. In survival, when I click it, it dissapears, but in creative, it creates an aditional item.

This does not happen if i log in on 1.21.6, only 1.8.9
