First major release

This is a submission of the first major release of our packag after having undergone an intense review process by the Journal of Statistical Software. The DOI in the CITATION is for the new JSS publication that will be registered after publication of the package-version 1.0.0 on CRAN. We included few code-refinements as result of the intense JSS-review of the code.

Test environments

  • local Windows 10 OS, R 4.0.3
  • win-builder (devel, release and oldrelease)
  • Ubuntu 20.04, R 4.0.3
