When you start autoagent for the first time:
- Wait for the app to load.
- Review the main screen.
- Choose the harness task you want to run.
- Enter any required details.
- Start the run and watch the progress.
If the app asks for access to files, choose the folder you want it to use.
A basic workflow in autoagent may look like this:
- Open the app.
- Pick a harness job or project.
- Add the needed inputs.
- Review the settings.
- Run the task.
- Check the result when it finishes.
If you plan to run the same task again, save the setup so you do not need to enter it twice.
You may see settings like these in the app:
- Output folder: where results are saved
- Input source: the files or data the app uses
- Run mode: the way the task is processed
- Log level: how much detail the app shows
- Auto save: stores changes without extra steps
Use the default settings if you are not sure what to change.
If the app does not open:
- Check that the download finished
- Make sure the file is not still in a ZIP folder
- Right-click the app and choose Run as administrator
- Restart your PC and try again
If Windows blocks the file:
- Open the file details
- Choose More info if you see it
- Select Run anyway if you trust the source
If the app closes right away:
- Open it again from the extracted folder
- Check whether your antivirus moved the file
- Make sure you downloaded the latest version
If you still have trouble, download the app again from the same page.
autoagent is set up for simple, repeatable use. It focuses on steady workflow handling and clear results. It is a good fit if you want a direct tool for harness engineering tasks on Windows.
After you extract the download, you may see files like:
- autoagent.exe
- README.md
- config folder
- logs folder
- data folder
Keep the full folder together so the app can find its files.
- Keep the app in one folder
- Do not rename files unless you know they are not in use
- Save your settings before you close the app
- Use a short, simple folder path like
C:\autoagent - Check the output folder after each run
