Contributor License Agreement

Thank you for your interest in contributing to L0. This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") documents the rights granted by contributors to this project.

This project is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. By contributing, you agree that your contributions will be licensed under the same terms.

By submitting a contribution to this project, you agree to the following terms:

1. Definitions

  • "You" (or "Your") means the individual or legal entity making the contribution.
  • "Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including modifications or additions to existing work, that you submit to this project.
  • "Project" means the L0 repository and associated software.

2. Grant of Copyright License

You hereby grant to the project maintainers and recipients of software distributed by this project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and such derivative works.

3. Grant of Patent License

You hereby grant to the project maintainers and recipients of software distributed by this project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution(s) alone or by combination of your Contribution(s) with the project to which such Contribution(s) was submitted.

4. Representations

You represent that:

  • Each of your Contributions is your original creation.
  • You have the legal authority to enter into this Agreement.
  • Your Contribution does not violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
  • If your employer has rights to intellectual property that you create, you have received permission to make Contributions on behalf of that employer, or your employer has waived such rights for your Contributions.

5. No Obligation

You understand that the decision to include your Contribution in any project or source repository is entirely at the discretion of the project maintainers, and this Agreement does not obligate the project to accept or include your Contribution.

6. Support

You are not expected to provide support for your Contributions, except to the extent you desire to provide support. You may provide support for free, for a fee, or not at all.

7. Agreement

By submitting a pull request or otherwise contributing to this project, you signify your acceptance of these terms.
