Firstly, thank you hugely for the incredibly detailed post about replacing the Openreach Nokia ONT.
I am researching to do the same with a HUAWEI HG8110H-20 ONT provided by Openreach. There seems to be limited information overall on the device as it seems no one else has attempted it however your blog post has helped tremendously.
The biggest difference in terms of following the instructions that I can see is the provided ONT details on the back of the device. Here's a photo of the back of the device from an eBay auction that matches my own:

- MAC address (MAC ID) - this is provided although I presume we ignore everything after the dash.
- Product number (ONT P/N) - Not provided but you have listed an Openreach 'default' and instructions in how to acquire this.
- GPON Serial number (S/N) - provided a 16 character "SN", but does not match your description. My own code matches the first 8 characters of the picture above. Do you know if GPON Serial Numbers are always traditionally 12 characters? Is it possible to confirm the serial number via firmware dump? There is another serial number on the PCB but believe that is a board SN only as its non-hex 8 chars.
Do you think this is sufficient information for an attempt?
Also, did you ever access your Nokia ONTs directly? I've seen people connecting to HUAWEI ONT's using web interfaces, but those ONT's seem to be more of a router combo than simple bridging device that the HG8110H-20 seems to be.
I do see 5 pins available on the PCB, that could potential provide serial / UART access to the device, but would rather buy a donor device to attempt that.

Thanks again.
