problem
When creating a new VM in CloudStack using a Windows Server 2025 ISO, the Guest OS type in vCenter is automatically mapped as “Other” instead of “Microsoft Windows” with version Windows Server 2025.
Because of this incorrect OS mapping, the Windows installation does not complete successfully and gets stuck midway during setup.
versions
CloudStack Version: 4.21
Hypervisor: VMware vSphere 8.0.3
Guest OS: Windows Server 2025 (ISO-based installation)
The steps to reproduce the bug
Register Windows Server 2025 ISO in CloudStack.
Deploy a new VM using the ISO.
Select Windows Server (closest available option) as Guest OS in CloudStack.
Check VM settings in vCenter after deployment.
Observe that Guest OS type is set to Other.
Start installation — setup hangs in the middle.

Are there any patches, configs, or upcoming support planned for this OS version?
