Allow overwrite of Waypoints

For a10c II, TheWay starts after the last waypoint saved. This becomes an issue if all waypoints are used. CDU just says "CDU Input Error" since there are no available waypoints. Can we get an option to overwrite the current and the following waypoints?

Bit rare to have all 50 waypoints used, but I have made an option in the A10 to be able to do this.

If you choose to overwrite the waypoints, TheWay's waypoint list will be entered sequentially from waypoint 1 on the CDU.
There must already be the same number of, or more, waypoints in the CDU than you are trying to Transfer.

TheWay doesn't extract any data from DCS other than the module you ae flying and coordinates.

When you do a normal transfer, TheWay presses the add a waypoint button in the A10 (LSK R3). Then enters the waypoint information.

If you choose to overwrite, it chooses the waypoint number based on how many are in the list and enters the number into LSK L1. If you are trying to overwrite 5 waypoints, and only 4 exist in the CDU, when TheWay tries to select waypoint 5, you will get a CDU INPUT ERROR.

If that makes sense.

Thanks for this change. I never knew I would use all wp too. I think this only happened to me when playing Pretense mission.

@jonsky752 I tested it. It works. I did not thoroughly test it but I checked the coordinates of 6 new waypoints, they all look correct. Thank you for this. This will make it easier to fly in Pretense.

I'm glad it worked for you.

Been doing some testing myself, and learned of a "feature" in the A10C/2 I hadn't noticed before and may cause some problems.
There is a workaround.

When in the A10C/2, you have two options to retrieve a waypoint in the CDU.

You can either

1. Type a number in the scratchpad, and then enter it into LSK L1
   or
2. Type a name and enter it into LSK R1.

So the issue might arise that, as "TheWay" is entering waypoints, and entering the name i.e. WAYPOINT 1,
a waypoint called "WAYPOINT 1" may already exist in the CDU. This makes the CDU jump directly to that waypoint, whatever number the CDU has assigned it.

This means that your newly entered waypoints might not be sequential.

To workaround this issue, if it arises, use the little trash can icon to delete the individual waypoints in "TheWay" main window, rather than the "clear all" button.
When using the trash can icon to delete the previously entered waypoints, the last number is saved, and any new waypoints continue from there.

e.g.
5 waypoints are transferred from "TheWay", called "WAYPOINT 1-5"
If you use the clear all button, the counter is reset, and the next saved waypoint will be called "WAYPOINT 1"
but
if you delete those 5 waypoints using the trash can icon,
the Next saved waypoint will be called WAYPOINT 6.

At least that's how it's currently working on my computer, I could have sworn that using the "Clear all" button was not resetting my counter previously, for as long as I was in the same module.

Am I going mad.. lol

I understand what you are saying. For me, the clear button does reset the WP count as well. I'll just have to make sure I don't re-use the same wp name. Doesn't seem too bad of a trade-off to being able to overwrite wp for A10C2. Thanks for the heads up,
