APK with latest ExifTool

Hi Vaibhav,

your ExifDateFixer is exactly what I’m looking for, especially because it supports arbitrary ExifTool commands. Would you mind providing an APK built with the latest version of ExifTool by Phil Harvey?

I only found a debug version that is about seven years old, and I don’t know how to build the APK myself.

Let me know if you run into any issues, the arm64-v8a should work for most modern Android devices, or the universal is larger but will support anything.

Thanks a lot! ExifToolWrapper runs flawlessly for showing and fixing dates on my S26 Ultra with One UI 8.5 and Android 16.

However, I cannot figure out how to specify

-all= -tagsFromFile {SRC} -all:all -overwrite_original {DST}

with two selected files. That is actually what I need most, because no Android app provides a simple EXIF copy that works as reliably as the original ExifTool. What are the placeholders for the file names? Could you please give me a hint?

Thanks for the feedback, the original usecase was narrow so it wasn't supported. I've got some changes in the works that will support this and all possible exiftool (i think) commands. Will release it tonight.

Hi Vaibhav, great work! Your app is presumably the only one on Android with this level of flexibility. The built-in command “Copy Metadata” works perfectly for me, and the GPS issue also seems to be fixed.

However, selecting a folder crashes the app on my device immediately after the access permission is granted. It’s not a showstopper for me because I currently do not rely on this function.
