Compatibility with NumPy 2.4

Hi,
As part of maintaining the mrcfile package in Debian, I got notified of https://bugs.debian.org/1131075
mrcfile 1.5.4 fails its testsuite when running in conjunction with NumPy 2.4. The relevant error messages are listed on the Debian bug report.
I'd be happy to help debug problems, or validate fixes.

Thanks for reporting this. The test failures have already been fixed on main (see #73) but this is a useful prompt that I should make a new release version including those fixes.

I'll keep this issue open as a reminder until I get a new version out.

Thanks. I backported the patch into the Debian package for now, it'll disappear once a new version is released.
