Notebook I :Data not showing

'Select * from mylib.mytable limit 10' is not showing any data.
'Select mycol1,mycol2,mycol3,mycol4... blah blah(all columns) from mylib.mytable limit 10' is not showing any data.
'Select 1 as Number from mylib.mytable limit 1' shows 10 rows.
'Select mycolumn from mylib.mytable limit 10' is randomly showing data.
I noticed that same table in different libraries , once created via CRTPF and CCSID 280 is not shown , while same table create via CREATE TABLE in a different Library and CCSID 1144 is properly shown.
