web UI browser bookmarks & refresh on a index tab doesn't work

In the web UI, if you navigate to an index, and refresh the web browser, you're taken back to the index listings page rather than the detail page you used to be on.

It's very annoying, and it also means bookmarks or emailing colleagues some URL into the cbft web UI won't work.
