I'm trying to think through what plots might make sense to include in the paper. @dally96 do you have a link to the last talk you gave on the subject? Just want to see what plots you already have available that might make sense to add.

I've made a few candidate distributions for motivating the final variables and uploaded them to overleaf.

I think these are really useful in that they show how the measured and expected values should be highly correlated for the hard scatter particles.

Thanks @dally96 -- that helped a lot to realize I had a bug :)

With the full stats of hard scatter we have available, this of course fills in the space a lot. So that makes it a bit hard to read.
It occurred to me that since we're using vidris as the cmap, we're not using red yet, so I'm setting the markers to red and setting the alpha to a very small amount. So then the intensity of the red is a measure of the density of interactions in a given region. I think it works pretty well, but feedback welcome.

I think it's pretty effective; my main concern is how to create a z scale that actually describes it. Maybe a second one besides it that goes from white to red? We'd need to figure out how it would correspond.
