Recursive Photo Album - Path-based Filter

I really love Aves its so feature rich and the best android app for professional photomanagers.

I have large directories filled with images and Markdown files (Obsidian). These are synced with my computer.

It would be great if I could select a directory (Obsidian Vault) and Aves would give me an album which shows all the images in all the child directories of the selected parent.

This would unclutter my album view and give me a single album for each of my Obsidian Vaults.

I used camera roll for this before (Virtual Albums) but the app is not under development anymore and this feature is not functional anymore on my new device.

I think this would be a great addition for quickly getting to all the images of a specific folder on the device.

Would love to hear if this is possible and if anyone thinks this would be a good addition to Aves.

Have you tried the Explorer page? It's in the side menu. From there you can get a filter "which shows all the images in all the child directories of the selected parent" at the bottom of the page.

Also, "virtual albums" exist in Aves as "dynamic albums". You can turn any filter set from the Collection page top right menu > Add dynamic album.

Perfect this is what I was looking for. I was looking at the explorer page but always searched for creating something like a virtual album option at the top with the 3 dots overseeing the virtual album selection at the Bottom...

I've been working heavily with the tagging feature syncs with my mac so I can have tag based smart collections... Absolutely Amazing now that I can filter per directory 😍
