WordPress 7.0: Utilize new platform capabilities in WordPress plugin

Overview

WordPress 7.0 (Phase 3) ships several new platform APIs that Frontman can leverage to improve the WordPress plugin. This tracks the full effort.

Good news: zero breaking changes required — the plugin passes the WP 7.0 compatibility audit cleanly (no REST blocks field usage, no block registration, no Gutenberg editor JS, PHP 7.4 minimum already matches).

Compatibility Policy

All changes must remain backwards-compatible with WP 6.x. Each sub-issue notes its specific compatibility approach. No hard WP 7.0 minimum will be set unless absolutely necessary.
