Turns out,
.gitignoreis ignored by.npmignoreby default, so when publishing, it was not being uploaded to npm. This meant when the app was scaffolded, it did not have a.gitignore.The fix, thanks to create-vite, was to name the
.gitignorein thetemplate-*directory to_gitignoreand then rename it when copying.Closes #372
