One of our PCs have «Lubuntu» installed, and the latest schat2 client from PPA couldn't connect to a server. Actually we have at least two another PCs with a Ubuntu derivatives, and the client there works fine. After a long attempts to understand what could cause it, we found a weird thing: a Windows® client being launched through WINE in this PC does connects!
This PC have two network cards (one actually is not configured). Also we have a (http/https/ftp) proxy, but I don't think it does interferes, since the Windows client worked. Also, the IP of the schat2 server being added to both no_proxy and NO_PROXY variables. Sorry, I am actually not sure what kind of information to provide additionally, so I'd wait for your answer.
