We'll have to figure out what we mean by mechanical and overall efficiency. This is a change from MATLAB because we're adding in the concept of electrical parasitics.
We may need to add another power (maybe mechanical) that is shaft power less mechanical parasitics. Then net power is mechanical less electrical parasitics. That makes overall efficiency the net power over heat input and the mechanical efficiency the mechanical power over heat input. This will be easier to discuss in person - just mentioning it here.
