After listening to feedback from this Reddit post, I'm exploring new naming options for the project and RubyGem.
Many of the obvious choices (my first ~20 candidates) are already taken on RubyGems or GitHub. After some research, I'm leaning toward the name likwd, pronounced the same as "liquid".
Proposed naming
- GitHub org:
likwd-org
- GitHub repo:
ruby-likwd (to leave room for potential python-likwd, etc.)
- RubyGem:
likwd
In spoken conversation, there's some potential for confusion with "liquid." A simple workaround could be to say "likwd - with a w" when clarifying verbally.
Before finalizing this change, I'd love input on:
- The name choice itself (clarity, tone, memorability)
- Any potential confusion or conflicts I might have missed
- Alternative ideas that still preserve the "liquid" theme
Thanks for your input.
