This was a reason why classic World of Warcraft had the #NOCHANGES movement. It is slippery slope and boiling the frog.

There are just more and more restrictions. Forced App sandboxing so you cannot run binaries directly. Google Chrome on Android never supported extensions. Phantom Process killer. Google play intergrity. Unlockable Bootloaders. This cannot continue. They are NOT listening. Don't be fooled.

Also, that is just the software part. Don't forget hardware part they did during the past decade. Removable battery. sdcard. simcard (force e-sim), 3.5mm headphone jack. Tons of them were all gone. They used the linux kernel code but never contributes drivers back to linux kernel. And android PC? no f that.

Also monopoly of rights to repair. Parts pairing. Design devices doomed to fail within 2 years. No updates after that.

All the available data and research point to a simple truth: Google consistently prioritizes advertising revenue over user security. If they genuinely cared about protecting people, we wouldn’t be seeing malicious ads pushed through YouTube, the forced death of Manifest V2 to cripple uBlock Origin, or the constant erosion of the open web—like blocking background playback on mobile YouTube web. Their actions show a pattern: fight ad‑blockers at all costs, even if it harms users.

And let’s be honest: most Android malware comes from the Play Store itself, not from “sideloading,” despite Google’s narrative.

This 24‑hour cooldown is UNACCEPTABLE. It’s another step in the boiling the frog strategy—turning up the heat so gradually that people don’t notice until it’s too late. Moves like this will only encourage other companies, including Microsoft, to follow the same path with their platforms. We cannot let that happen.

The pushback needs to continue. The pressure needs to stay on.
