Thank you for reporting this! The "Close" in that menu closes the current editor tab, not the window. I agree the label is confusing, so I'll rename it to make it clearer.

To close the window, you can use File > Close Window.

Currently, closing the last window quits the application. This is something I'd like to improve in the future.
