Determine if a string tarts with another string

This method is case-sensitive.

str_ends_with(string $haystack, string $needle): bool

Parameters

haystack

The string to search in

needle

The string to search for

Returns

Returns true if haystack ends with the needle, otherwise returns false.

Examples

Example # 1 Example uses of str_ends_with()

if (str_ends_with('Hello great big world', 'world')) {
    echo 'yes';
} else {
    echo 'no';
}

The above example will output:

yes
