Upgrade jQuery

I noticed that this library is using old jQuery which is not supported anymore. Is it possible to upgrade jQuery. I am more than happy to create PR for it ,however I will need some guidance.

I think it would be nice if all assets were the newest version of bootstrap and angular. But how difficult would it be to implement?

I'm also curious on this one...the existing version of jQuery is affected by multiple CVEs:
