Thanks for the suggestion, @philippfetzer. Could you add more details on why you'd like (or need) to be able to control the location of the MATLAB MCP Server? This will help us weigh the benefits relative the tradeoffs of slightly increased complexity for a more flexible system.

This is due to the fact that some orgs do limit execution of executables in the user folder with AppLocker policies. Does not affect my machine but I think this is in place for certain user groups around here
