The user cannot create a post from the home page, only the community page.
When the user tries to create a post from the home page, the community directory is opened but it is unclear that the user should navigate to a community in order to create the post.
Describe the solution you'd like
A simple solution is to show a toast message that the user should select a community first and then create the post.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Take the user to a post submission page where there is an extra drop down to select the community.
