Checking MR/PR time to release when squash

since squash MR delete all commits history on that particular branch; we need to make sure that our metrics on MR get that into account

seems that MR on gitlab can be deleted from their project repo. Thus leaving Null-MergeRequest references and Null-Commits associated with. Probably more model entities are concerned (like suggestions and issues).

Maybe a null object pattern is required ?
