Add user authentication support to SOCKS backend

Hi,
I'm currently using slip-socks tunnel and it works great — thank you for the app!
I was wondering if it would be possible to add username + password authentication for the slip-socks tunnel?

This can be improved by adding microsocks user-password authentication which only supports a single user. I am not planning in switching to another socks backend, as the recommended way to use slipstream is by using it in SIP003 mode with a Shadowsocks backend. Another option is using SSH backend with a hardened SSH config.

Note that I am saying "improved" and not "fixed" since Slipstream does not have a native authentication method and the tunnel itself will be remained as publicly available.

If you need immediate SOCKS-based solution with an authentication before this feature is implemented, you can install another socks proxy server like Dante or a core like sing-box or xray and use its port as a custom backend in DNSTM.
