⚠️ Before posting ⚠️

  • This is a bug, not a question or an enhancement.
  • I've searched for similar issues and didn't find a duplicate.
  • I've written a clear and descriptive title for this issue, not just "Bug" or "Crash".
  • I agree to follow Nextcloud's Code of Conduct.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open file manager (not the nextcloud app) and create a new folder in the home directory
  2. Open Nextcloud Client App and setup auto upload for that custom folder (or just use "Pictures" folder e.g.)
  3. Try to change the setting for "Original file will be..."

Expected behaviour

Setting was available a few weeks or month ago. I didn't check it for some time.

Actual behaviour

Setting is not available (grayed out) because folder is detected as read-only.
I managed to make the setting available for a short time somehow by playing around (cleaering app cache, reinstalling the app, deactivating+reactivating the auto upload, creating new files, ...). But it didn't really work in the end. And the setting was grayed out again shortly after.

Nextcloud android app version

Server error logs

Additional information

Issue could be caused by an android update as well. I don't know how to find out.
The update to Android 16 was done many month ago. Therefore it seems more likely that it's a Nextcloud App bug.

Can anyone confirm the bug?
