select.poll unsupported on OS X

Another win for OS X, any chance you can add fallback code so we can use your module on OS X ?

Replacing poll with select is fairly straight forward and should remove this issue.

I`ve modded my local copy to use select.select, this works fine under os x and linux.

Could you please add a test for availability of poll (and conditionally use either), and post here @github?

… or, if neither poll nor select are available, assume that you're running under gevent and just "block".
