Background

llms.txt is a proposed web standard from Jeremy Howard (co-founder of Answer .AI) to make websites and documentation more digestible for LLMs. It’s a single Markdown file placed at the root of a site (e.g., yoursite.com/llms.txt) that gives LLMs a concise, structured overview of your content. Think of it like a README or robots.txt, but optimized for AI instead of humans or search crawlers. The idea is to help LLMs understand your site without choking on HTML clutter or context window limits.

Industry traction

Anthropic has endorsed it and there is a specialized directory of 400+ websites that have adopted it.

How we could adopt it

Start with product docs and consider adding any other fact-driven page.
