Roomba Remote Client: Unknown disconnection error: ID=16

I am regularly getting a warning saying "Unexpectedly disconnected from Roomba xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, code The connection was lost" which I usually ignore.

But today I got this warning asking to create a new issue. So here it is. Thanks

I also get the following error, thought it would be a local network problem but i can start/stop my roomba perfectly via HA:

Yeah i took my robot out of it's dock and back in and reset HA, didn't have the error since.

@Pastaloverzzz What do you mean by "reset HA" ? Do you mean restarting HA? I did that but I am still getting the error.

@snowmangh Yes i meant a reboot. In my case the iRobot app wouldn't connect either so i think he was trying to connect to another router than the one closest to him. Could it be that the docking station isn't in a good wifi spot? If you get this error every day you could put it closer to a router and see if you keep getting the error then..

@Pastaloverzzz Interesting. I do have a mesh network at home and wondering if that could be the reason I get the error. I do have devices that for some reasons do switch between the mesh point and the actual router which is probably enough to trigger a disconnect.

@snowmangh Well, i suspect on the day i got the error that my router closest to the docking station was down. So chances are you found the culprit 🙂

@Pastaloverzzz Looks like it. Maybe the error handling should account for a short disconnect before throwing this warning. 🙂

I'm seeing the same log, I've been on vacation, the robot got stuck and drained battery, I haven't been able to make it work with HA since then.
I've already tried a factory reset, deleted the robot from HA, never been able to finish the wizard.
The DHCP lease is static and I have a single access point, so no changes in the networking as reported by others.

I see various warning and error logs:

While browsing through the logs of the HomeAssitant I saw this message:

At 1 am at night the gateway/router was rebooted, but access points were still active. Therefore link has been forcefully broken between Roomba and HomeAssistant running the integration "iRobot Roomba and Braava", while LAN and WiFi were still up and connected. After gateway had resumed normal operation, Roomba reconnected with the integration and is working fine.
Let me know if you need any other info.
