Thanks for raising this — let me explain exactly where it stands, because it's a real limitation rather than a bug we can just fix.

Why the blood-oxygen % isn't shown natively: the strap itself only streams the raw optical signal — the red/IR PPG sensor values. It does not stream a blood-oxygen percentage. WHOOP computes that % in their cloud, using a proprietary calibration (the sensor-specific curve that turns raw red/IR into an accurate SpO₂). No independent app has that calibration, and NOOP's rule is to never show a fabricated or guessed clinical number — so we won't invent a % that isn't the real one.

That's also why it currently comes through on import: a WHOOP export (or Apple Health) carries the percentage WHOOP already computed, so we can display that accurately. It's the same situation as recovery/sleep scores — the raw inputs are on the strap, but the final number is a cloud computation we can't reproduce on-device.

What we do show natively: on a WHOOP 4.0 we decode and surface the raw SpO₂ (red/IR ADC) the sensor produces — honest "the sensor is reading" data, but deliberately labeled uncalibrated, not a clinical %. Turning that into an accurate percentage would need the pulsatile red and IR waveforms plus WHOOP's calibration curve, neither of which the strap hands us.

To point you at the right thing: which strap are you on — WHOOP 4.0, or 5.0/MG? It changes what's available (the 4.0 decodes the raw SpO₂ signal today; the 5.0/MG is more limited), and it'll tell me exactly what you should be seeing vs. what genuinely isn't possible yet. A screenshot of your Health screen helps too.

Short version: an accurate native blood-oxygen % isn't something we can honestly produce without WHOOP's cloud calibration — so for now the export is the way to get the real number, and we show the raw sensor reading natively where we can.
