Super Mario RPG Write Save Error

Hello. New to oscr and got a pre-built hw5 sanni cart to backup and restore save files. Everything so far has been great until I tried to write the srm save file back to my mario rpg. , and I keep getting the sram did not verify error. I tried to reflow the Cartridge chip (except rom), clean pcb and pins with IPA 91%, update firmware to 15.5, mess around with clockgen calibration, and also tried #781 , but still getting same error. I have been searching for a resolution to restore my save file for past few days..... also no issue with dumping the rom and reading the save, just with writing back the srm file back. Any help is appreciated.

After writing the save read the save back and compare the read-back save with the source save file in a hex editor like Nexus HxD (compare function, CTRL+K) to see how it differs. Also sometimes saves from emulators are smaller in file size so you get that error when writing in which case you can ignore it.

Just to be clear, my cartridge save is lost, so i created a new cartridge save and "Read Save" twice, which i now have 2 srm files in the SD card. when i try to "Write Save" those same files, i get the "did not verify" error. i did create an emulator save, and tried to use that srm to my cartridge, and still get same issue. also, everytime i get the "did not verify" error, my cartridge save gets erased. Did you want me to still compare the 2 cartridge srm to the emulator srm?

i dont have another SA-1 game to compare it to, but i just ordered PGA Tou 96 to see if this game has the same issue.

Try today's update. Seems like the first 16 bytes do not get written correctly every time, as a work around I write them a second time at the end.

thank you for your continued effort.
so i wasnt too sure how to update, but i just copied the snes.ino raw code and pasted it in the SNES tab in Arduino, saved it, and clicked upload. i am still getting the same issue.
Reading rom, read save, but write save and Test SRAM has errors.

Can you write the save again, then after writing and getting errors read it to SD and then upload the two save files, the one you wrote and the one you read here? Then I can look where the bytes are located.

i had to delete my previous post, as i realized there was no cartridge save.
i just created a new cartridge save, and i am not quite sure what you meant by "read it to SD", but here are 3 saves.

orig save = Read Save before the update
new save = Read Save after the update
New Test SRAM Save = Test SRM after the update

just providing update.
so i recieved and tested both PGA Tour 96 and Super Mario RPG (japanese cartridge).
both games are able to be ROM dumped, Read Save, and Write Save, with no issues.

any suggestion on why i am only having issue with Write Save on my English Version of Mario RPG?
i am considering reflowing again, with all of the chips to include the ROM chip, if that doesnt work, i am also considering just doing a ROM swap to the Japanese Mario RPG.
