Question: Expected SSID #99

Description

@Wildzekat

Hey there, I will soon (following the idea suggested in #9 there) test the following:
Creating an ad-hoc device next to the monitor device with same mac / bssid
(I hope ibss is the correct interpretation of ad-hoc)

This should, in the best case, allow for both down- and upstream to work
And thus, lead to opendrop working
Though, I have two questions on this (actually 3):

  1. How to name the SSID
    The SSID is practically the network name. Do I need to give it a specific ssid? If yes, can you tell me how to name it?

  2. Apple Certificate
    I do not have an ID certificate, as this would need me having an apple device. Can it still work without one? (obviously only with mode "everyone" set on that device)

  3. BSSID
    Is the BSSID of awdl0 actually the same of my virtual interface used to host owl on? If not, how to get this and which to match with the ad-hoc device?

I might start testing without a response already, I will then tell what I did and what the result was.
Thanks for your patience and you reading this.

Hoping for the best results
Wildzekat
