[Bug] Nether portals do not light

Bug description

Building a portal using obsidian does not work, majority of the time

I've tried all the layouts I could think of, tried building in flat area or indoors

I've done 4x5, 5x6 , 6x7 etc. I've Googled the exact structure it needs to be, yet still it does not light

Lighting flint n steel here just starts a fire. Would really love if someone could fix this

To Reproduce

1. Mine obsidian
2. Build a structure at least 4x5
3. Use flint and steel to attempt to create actual portal
4. Instead get default flint and steel action, fire

Expected behavior

We expect portal to be created. Instead we get fire
